The Tempranillo variety (also called Cencibel) is the main red grape in the denomination of origin La Mancha , being the most prestigious one because of its quality at national level. It is the most used variety in La Mancha to develop aging wines in the mono varietal versions or in coupage with other.

Its production is moderate, although of a very high quality. In other regions it is known with the name of UII de Liebre (hare’s eye), Tinto de toro, Tinto fino, Tinto of the country, Jacibera and Verdiell.

Variety of early ripening, which produces a medium-sized bunch, compact and regular, whose grapes have a skin of medium thickness and soft pulp, with a colourless juice.
